This is a California brown turkey type fig. I found it on Chincoteague Island. I thought it was pretty unique because most CBT's are splitters due to size, while this one resisted splitting quite well. I watched the figs after the remnants of Hurricane Erin ripped by the island. While they are mild in the northeast, I believe this fig could really shine in hot and arid climates.
