Supposedly from France and brought to Louisiana, this fruit is a good flavored sugar fig. I have not gotten as large fruits as Bass, but they are a nice size. It could be that his photo is of the breba, but I am not sure. The main crop figs have mild flavor and seem to resist splitting fairly well.
