This was a fig I found in a vacant lot along with a persimmon tree in Marine Park, Brooklyn. It was one of the earlier varieties in the area. It definitely seems Mt Etna type, but it was noteworthy and was an upper tier fig in the Mt Etna family. I have grown it for a few years, and feel it is worth distribution after a few really good seasons with it. Not all Unks are winners, but this was very good. Also, the tree showed very good winter resistance.
